Organizations & Events

The Office of Economic Development has served as a sponsor of many Innovation/Entrepreneurism events over the years, including IdaVation and it’s organizing entity, Kickstand. We were also the first to reach out with financial support to IgniteBoise, a unique quarterly celebration of creative thought. Idaho Startup Weekend is another inspirational event the City of Boise helped underwrite, and one that area entrepreneurs should check into.

Boise’s creative economy is further fueled by active organizations such as Idaho TechConnect, TechBoise, Girls In Tech, Boise Young Professionals and the Idaho Technology Council.  Among the resources for funding are the Boise Angel Alliance and Highway 12.
