The information in this section is constantly changing, and includes a mix of Boise, Ada County, and Boise-Nampa MSA data.  The Boise-Nampa Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) (commonly knowns as the Boise Metropolitan Area or the Boise Valley), includes five counties in Southwest Idaho, anchored by the cities of Boise and Nampa.  It is the state's largest officially designated metropolitan area and includes Idaho's three largest cities - Boise, Nampa and Meridian.

As of the 2010 census, the MSA had a population of 609,533.  The metro area is currently the 3rd largest in the U.S. Pacific Northwest and the 85th largest overall in the United States.
